The Upstream Segment of the Oil & Gas Industry relies on Oil Country Tubular Goods (OCTG) as one its main products for the drilling process. The main characteristics of Casing and Tubing are the Outer Diameter (OD), Weight per linear foot or meter, thickness of the pipe wall (also known as body wall), grade of material strength, chemical composition, and end connections and threads. Full length Casing and Tubing is available in either Range 2 (30 foot average) or Range 3 (40 foot average) lengths.
